Sheer lace…a Kimono jacket trend…

So, I bought this beautiful lace kimono jacket yesterday.  I just fell in love with its sheer beauty and intricate patterns.

This piece was actually bought to wear with a cute pair of scalloped edged shorts during my cruise next week.  While gathering an outfit for today’s post, I just couldn’t resist incorporating the kimono into the look.

Therefore, what was to be casual day number 2, became dressy day number 1.

I must also share that I bought a long, floral print kimono yesterday as well.

It’s fantastic.

I’d been wondering about all the hype with the kimono-look. I will say that for the short period of time I had it on, I felt ultimately feminine and sexy….and I was wearing it just inside my house so imagine wearing it out!

It is an intimate look…as if I was interrupted during my leisure activities and popped on the closest silky thing that was hanging within reach. It adds a little bit of mystery to one’s reputation…

Till tomorrow, dear readers…xx..Cortneybre..

  1. That kimono is so pretty!! I love them too and I have a couple! This would look really cute with faded distressed jeans too (if you like that sort of thing) 🙂

    1. I totally agree with you! I’ve been searching for a pair of distressed jean shorts lately but haven’t found a pair that fits well. Hopefully, I’ll find some soon. 🙂 xx…Cortneybre…

  2. Beyond obsessed with that skirt and of course the Kate Spade bow belt. Adorable look! I really wanna see the long floral kimono too 🙂
