Hello dear readers!
Today’s look is decidedly more sunny and bright! I’ve had this yellow dotted Ann Taylor LOFT dress for several months but hadn’t worn it yet because of…uh…some strange reason.
I actually bought the dress to wear on a Disney cruise my family and I went on last October. I thought it was just perfect and that Minnie Mouse would approve!
The dress is made out of a beautiful, linen-like fabric which is a bit sheer even with its fabric underlay (dig out that slip!). I find it’s very comfortable but runs really large. Tip: I find that all of LOFT’s clothes run really big and that my size 6 is actually a 4 or even a 2 there depending on the item. For the best fit, I’d recommend trying on their items before purchasing if possible!
In order to make the dress work friendly, I paired it with a sparkly, bejeweled cardigan from Wet Seal. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever even been in Wet Seal before. It’s not really my style and seems a tad too “young” for me. That being said, this cardigan was a nice surprise and was a gift from my friend, Sara’s, closet. Thank you Sara! Your gifted clothes just keep giving and giving!
I added my nude MIA heels and a pair of sparkly earrings to finish off the look.
If you’d like to take a look or purchase the dress, I’d highly recommend it…just keep in mind the sizes run large. Click here to access the dress on LOFT’s site – I think it’s sold out now but it could come back in stock online possibly or you might find it in store.
I plan on experimenting with this dress more in the future. I think I’ll try to pair it with a black and white striped jacket or perhaps a floral jacket or blouse. Who knows what you’ll find in my future posts!
Hope you’re enjoying your Tuesday! Xoxo…Cortneybre..
