A charming lemon themed necklace and bracelet….from Charming Charlie on Cortneybre!

Hello everyone! I’ve not blogged in a while as I needed to take a little “me” time to bring myself back together.

Sometimes you need to just take a break from everything to figure out what really matters!

Regardless, I’m back and featuring a wonderful and “charming” necklace and bracelet set from Charming Charlie!

I am constantly on the lookout for bright and whimsical items with just a little bit of cheek!

I fell in love with this set with its bright colors and fun designs! The little sparkly pineapple accents are too fun!

I paired my accessories with a simple look – yellow skirt and white cotton blouse.

I also added a punch of color with my green Louenhide bag! I was very lucky to have snatched up a cute scarf in the frenzy that was LillyGate (Lilly Pulitzer for Target) and thought it added a really cute vibe to the bag.

I simply folded the scarf and wrapped it around one of the handles.

I then tied off each end and voila’ – instant interest!

The power of a pin…on Cortneybre…

Sometimes something so small can make or break an outfit.

A well placed pin can make the difference between flop or flawless!

I find fashion inspiration in the oddest places. Hobby Lobby was the perfect place to find this most important finishing flourish!

The outfit, pulled perfectly together, with the placement of a pin! (This posh Olivia Miller clutch helped too!)

As summer quickly approaches, bright prints and colors abound!

I was lucky to stumble upon this lovely Joie palm print blazer late last summer. It pairs well with bright or neon yellows and could easily work with blue, pink or red.

Offset the print with a complimentary color – try red, yellow, or blue!
Don’t wear too much green – or you’ll risk the over the top “safari” look
Try the print with stripes – especially navy blue!
Don’t wear too many prints – palm print head to toe can be too busy and distracting
Go simple sometimes– wear only white with the print
Bring on the metal! Gold and silver both look great with the print so don’t forget the jewelry!

When Life Gives You Lemons…a Lemon Print Shirt on Cortneybre…

There is an old saying…when life gives you lemons…make lemonade. I’ve recently been handed a lemon…and while I don’t want to go into too much detail until I know more, I will admit it’s gotten me down a bit.
